Whistler Hotels,,Canada

With over 40,000 beds to choose from in the Whistler Valley, finding Whistler lodging should not be a difficult task. To narrow down the search for the perfect accommodation in Whistler Canada, it is best to decide what area you would like to stay in, how much you’d like to spend, and what type of accommodation you prefer.

If you like to be in the middle of the action, where you can step out your door and be only steps away from ski lifts and shopping, staying in Whistler Village is the best option for you. With its cobblestone streets and chateau-like buildings, Whistler Village at the Whistler Canada ski resort is a fun and lively place to stay. You won’t need a car if you plan to stay in the Village, as all of the Whistler hotels are within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and of course, ski lifts. Whistler lodging in the Village ranges from hostels to top quality hotels. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options between the mid-range Whistler hotels and top-notch, four star hotels. It’s either average or very pricey, with not much in-between. Fortunately, even the mid-range Whistler hotels are high quality and have that special Whistler charm. In both mid-range and high-end you’re likely to find a cozy fireplace in your room and a lovely balcony -- the difference that you pay for are all of the other amenities like swimming pools and hot tubs with views.

If you prefer a bit more quiet and solitude, and would rather not stay in the midst of the shopping and partying, staying outside of the Whistler Canada ski resort village may be the right choice for you. There is much more to Whistler lodging than just hotels. Many studios, condos, apartments and homes are available for rent within and outside of the Village. It’s only a short drive away to Whistler Canada ski resort from any of the accommodations outside of the Village and you’ll be able to get more of that sweet mountain relaxation. Allura Direct is a booking service that will help you find the unique rental property that you are looking for. The website shows photos and gives good information about each property in the Whistler area.

If you are looking for accommodation in Whistler Canada during the summer months, there are plenty of good camping options. On the Sea-to-Sky highway, south of Whistler is the popular Alice Lake Provincial Park. North of Whistler, Nairn Falls is a well-maintained campground equipped with fire pits, firewood and pit toilets. This campground is close to many hikes, as well as Green River and the town of Pemberton. Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park off Portage Road is also very popular and camping spots fill quickly during the summer. There is a tent area as well as RV sites, offering boat launches and great fishing.
